The term is quickly disappearing with us being over halfway through the term, which also means only a few short weeks until Christmas. Teachers are busy assessing student learning and growth in Literacy and Maths, and it is very exciting to see the growth our students are making.
The Middle Years staff and students are busy finalising the final details of camp next week. Camp Cooriemungle is a fantastic camp with lots of opportunities for the students to test themselves on the high ropes, canoeing and a variety of other activities, but most of all they are looking forward to the disco on Thursday night.
We thank the Community Police who attended both the Terang and Cobden Campuses on Tuesday. The students in years F-2 had the police visit their classrooms to see all their hard work and of course the police car with it’s lights and sirens. The students in years 3-6 learned about being safe online especially when gaming. The Cobden students also learnt about HOW to be safe online and the consequences for inappropriate behaviours. It is vital that schools, families and community continue to support our children to navigate the cyber world in a safe manner. The introduction in December of students under 16 being banned from all social media will have an impact on our students that already access these platforms, we need to support them to navigate these new laws.
We are looking forward to our end of year celebrations including our graduation and awards day.
Take care
Kylie Carter
Principal
