Our brand new Middle Years building now has a very excited group of students working from within. The classrooms are lovely and calm and the new big yard a welcome addition to the previous small yard we had. The staff and students are taking great pride to look after and appreciate our new facility.
Later Years have returned to their former building consolidating their learning for the year over the next few weeks.
Early Years students are working hard in their final weeks and are close to finishing their mural project in art which showcases our school values.
This week was our first day of transition with students in their new groups, we had 4 very excited new preps to welcome to our Terang campus.
Next Thursday 5th December we farewell our years 12’s at our year 12 graduation at the Cobden Golf Club. All 5 of our year 12 students will leave with the completion of their VPC certificate. This group are a very first group to undertake the VPC program and we are very proud of all the hard work they have put into to receive a recognised certificate.
Our final assembly will be at the Terang Campus in the gym on Thursday 12th December at 12pm, everyone is welcome to celebrate the amazing achievements of our students.
Take care

As the term nears the finish line, it has been great to hear feedback from students about what they have learned and would like to learn in future cooking sessions.

The Middle Years team had a great time on the Port Fairy Camp 2024. Students and staff enjoyed the different activities and it was wonderful to be a part of such a great team effort from start to finish. Well done to all Middle Years members.

As the year starts drawing to a close it seems that the Parent Association is still going full steam ahead with lots of activities still in the works for this year.
The sports carnival that we ran was successful with lots of ribbons and medals given out and everyone going home with ribbons, certificates and even medals. A big congratulations to Patrick Templeton who took home the medal for Most Points Scored. Well done everyone. We will be running this next year bigger and better. A massive thank you to all the volunteers on the day, we couldn’t have done it without you. It was also lovely to see all the parents there that came to watch.
The cookbooks are at the printers. They look better than we even hoped for. We had a massive response from the community for sponsorship and are very appreciative of this. Thanks to everyone that contributed a recipe, it is evident that the middle years students really love their cooking. These will be on sale for $25.
The School Presentation Day is 12th of December. The Parents Association will be there before and after taking student and family photos. These will be free as a gift to you from the Parents Association. If you would like to book in so that we can have a heads up on who is interested, you can email Kristie on Kristie.simpson@education.vic.gov.au.
The Terang Gala is on the 20th of December starting at 5 pm. We have a stall with sensory items, small Christmas items, stocking fillers and lucky dips with most priced at $1.00. We have the TP throw to see how good your aim is and Christmas nail art for $4. There are also over 30 prizes to win in the Prize Wheel Raffle with tickets starting as low as 10c for the kids prizes with a maximum of 100 tickets for each prize.
On the 22nd of December we have a BBQ at Bunnings in Warrnambool. If you would be available to help for 1 hour on the day please let us know.
We look forward to seeing you all the Presentation Day.
